JET, my prophecies about your ridiculously STUPID wagering is ringing LOUDER than ever! I am visiting the NBA/WNBA forum and whose thread do I stumble across? Why, it's our buddy, Jet. Seems you were up +14.7 UNITS playing ANOTHER sport you know NOTHING about, namely the WNBA. Then you make a HUGE MONEY MANAGEMENT MISTAKE yesterday and PLUMMET by -21.4 UNITS in one night!!

Even if they do not pull out the win, I still believe Stabaek was a worth while wager for ME since I only stand to lose 3 UNITS and miss out on 6 UNITS of profit. This is the HUGE difference between myself and an inexperienced grasshopper like Jet. While I will only be out 3 UNITS, Jet will lose a total of ALMOST 20 UNITS from a single game loss while missing out on LESS THAN 10 UNITS of profit. The ratios are TOTALLY out of whack! Also, losing 3 UNITS is very minor but if Jet keeps losing these 20 UNIT CHUNKS he will be hauling that 100" TV down to the pawn shop very soon.

There's clearly a difference in money management proportion, but even still, laying -300 on a team in a lower division that is clearly due to lose maybe isn't the smartest thing. Perhaps playing on an Asian Line if you could find one (at -1 1/4 in all likelihood) would be a better play, but laying -300 seems to be a pretty big gamble. There's a reason books make money off of these games. Though you can still salvage today, I'm aware that I have been made a winner due to Jet's money management... er... Monopoly money management skills, and should Stabaek do no better than fight back and draw (still down 1-0 at the 65th minute), I'm the beneficiary.
